Sankara

Sankara can refer to:
- Shiva, whom Hindus, especially Shaivites, worship as supreme God or their Supreme Being. This is distinguished from worship of deities or devas, i.e., gods, who are not the Supreme Being but higher powers that control forces of nature, such as fire, wind, water, etc.
- Adi Sankara, Hindu philosopher of roughly 800 CE credited with reviving Hinduism
- Thomas Sankara, a West African political figure
- Sankara Stones, magical rocks from the 1984 film Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
- Sankara (Introspection), the debut film by Sri Lankan film director Prasanna Jayakody.
