It is located [1] in Buldhana district in Amravati division of Vidarbha region of Maharashtra state in India.

Sangrampur tehsil is part of Jalgaon Jamod Sub-Division of Buldhana district, along with Jalgaon Jamod Tehsil.
Sangrampur tehsil has area of 594 square km and consist of 105 villages has a population of around 97,000[2]
