Sanford L. Steelman, Jr.

Sanford L. Steelman, Jr. (born 11 September 1951) is an American judge, currently an Associate Justice on the North Carolina Court of Appeals.

Steelman attended Davidson College, earning a degree in political science in 1973, and then a Juris Doctor degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1976. He worked in private practice in Monroe, North Carolina until 1994, when he joined the North Carolina Superior Court. In 2003, Steelman was named to the North Carolina Court of Appeals. He is married and has three sons.
