Sandy Lake First Nation

Sandy Lake First Nation is an independent Oji-Cree First Nation, governed by an elected Chief, a Deputy Chief and (8) eight councilors. The First Nation is located 227 kilometers northeast of Red Lake, Ontario. More specifically in geological terms, it is located at . Its registered population in January of 2007 was 2,443. The current Chief is Pardemus Anishinabie. Sandy Lake First Nation maintains an affiliation with Nishnawbe Aski Nation.
