Sandra Ingerman is a well known shamanic healer and author who has written the book "Soul Retrieval", and has taught with Michael Harner at the Foundation for Shamanic Studies.

Soul Retrieval is a process for pulling back energy that one has spent or lost. It is similar in some ways to Victor Sanchez's recapitulation technique. This method has been claimed to have been used in many forms of shamanism and Carlos Castenada wrote of a similar technique.
