San Salvador is an incarnation of the band known as Sounds Like Chicken. This happend due to the disbanding of Sounds Like Chicken which achieved great success in the Australian Ska and Christian music scene.

San Salvador was formed with all former members of Sounds Like Chicken in it's final stage apart from Natalie Parker and Nyall Dawson in addition to these members was also Paul McCasker.

[edit] Announcement of San Salvador

Sounds Like Chicken were the first to give word on the formation of San Salvador. Member of San Salvador Nat Kitingan was interviewed on 100.9BFMs Undaground Radio about the new band and asked what the name would be. Reluctantly Nat said it was not final but San Salvador was one of the names that is being thought about.

About a month later this was officially announced as the official name of the band on Sounds Like Chicken's myspace page.

Dave, Nat, Mike, Ben and Joel are proud to announce the beginning of their new project, San Salvador. Check out their myspace at www.myspace.com/sansalvadormusic. San Salvador make their debut at AGMF this easter in Queensland (they're listed in the program as Sounds Like Chicken). Tracks will be posted on their myspace really soon, so check back regularly!

Nat Kitingan announced on an interview on 100.9BFMs Undaground Radio that Sounds Like Chicken song "As Iron Sharpens Iron" would be a crossover song. Arguably making "As Iron Sharpens Iron" the first ever San Salvador song.

Fans of the newly formed San Salvador were treated to their first released track known as "Whiteness Of The Whale" released on their myspace page.
