San Michele in Isola is a church in Venice, Italy, located on the island with the same name housing the cemetery of the city. It was built in the 1460s.

Designed by the architect Mauro Codussi entirely in white Istrian stone, San Michele is the first example of Renaissance church in Venice. The interior has a nave and two aisles, with precious decorations. venitians had been trying to get away from the gothic architecture for along time, using architecture from Byzantine and the north, but they all had many similarities and the gothic some how worked its way in. this is mauro's second noted and this time he succeeded. This church is very different and was copied through out the city.

Next to the main façade is the Cappella Emiliani (1530). On the other side is the Cloister of the 15th century, from which the cemetery can be accessed.
