San Martin Palace

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The San Martin Palace (Palacio San Martin in Spanish) is located in San Martin Park in the heart of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Formerly Anchorena Palace, the San Martin Palace was acquired in 1936 by the Argentinian government to become the Headquarters for the Ministry of Foreign Relations. It actually serves as the Ceremonial Headquarters for the Ministry.

The palace is without doubt a national monument. It contains countless number of pieces from Argentinian and American artists from the 20th century such as Antonio Berni, Pablo Curatela Manes, Lino Enea Spilimbergo, and Roberto Matta.
