San Juan Bautista Tuxtepec

San Juan Bautista Tuxtepec is a city and its surrounding municipality located in the northern part of the state of Oaxaca in Mexico. The city is the second largest in the state, with a 2005 census population of 94,209 inhabitants. The city serves as municipal seat of the municipality, which has an areal extent of 933.9 km² (360.58 sq mi) and a census population of 144,555, which includes many small outlying communities.
