San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival

The San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival (SFIAAFF), held annually since 1982 by the National Asian American Telecommunications Association and then by the Center for Asian American Media, is the largest film festival in North America dedicated to Asian and Asian American movies.

  • The 2005 SFIAAFF program features a selection of 131 films and videos from 23 countries, including 15 World Premieres. About 27,000 attended the festival.
  • The 2006 SFIAAFF program features a selection of 127 films and videos from 28 countries. About 29,000 attended the festival. The 2006 SFIAAFF.
  • The 2007 SFIAAFF is the 25th anniversary of the festival. The program features a selection of 128 films and videos from 20 countries, including 15 world premieres. About 30,000 attended the festival.The 2007 SFIAAFF.

While the majority of the movies screened at the festival is in Japantown in San Francisco, selected movies are also screened in Berkeley, California and San Jose, California.
