San Antonio del Tachira is a city in the Táchira State in Venezuela. The busy highway linking the cities of Cúcuta, Colombia and San Cirstóbal, Venezuela, passes through San Antonio del Tachira, making it an important gateway between the two nations. This city is the shire town of the Municipio Bolívar de Tachira and its population is estimated to be around 36,000.
The streets in San Antonio are known as calles and carreras. The calles run north to south and the carreras run east to west.
San Antonio del Tachira's main town squares are Plaza Bolivar (located between carreras 9 and 10 and calles 3 and 4) and Plaza Miranda (located between carreras 12 and 13 and calles 4 and 5).
The city's airport, Aeropuerto Juan Vicente Gomez, is located 2 kilometers northeast of the city.
