San Antonio Gunslingers was the name chosen for the Dallas Chaparrals when that American Basketball Association team's new owners moved it to San Antonio, Texas, for the 1973–74 season. The team's name was changed again prior to the season's first game, this time to the San Antonio Spurs.

The San Antonio Spurs continue to play in the NBA.

Another team called the San Antonio Gunslingers played in the United States Football League.
