The cover for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway's passenger train timetable from November 29, 1942.

The cover shows motifs that were widely used by the railroad in advertising its services. A group of adventurers are journeying down into the Grand Canyon while a pair of Native Americans look on. The railroad's advertising featured extensive use of such vignettes, encouraging passengers to see America's southwest in its relation to native tribes.

This is a copyrighted image that has been released by a company or organization to promote their work or product in the media, such as advertising material or a promotional photo in a press kit.
