Architects Registration Board
Thanks for your intervention on Architects Registration Board. I'll put my hands up. Although the recent history that I put in is I think accurate, it is perhaps too topical for an encyclopaedia - even one that is on-line and interactive. However, you have taken the entry back to one which was itself polemic and inaccurate, and in need of correction. If you are in any doubt about this then I would invite you to compare the entry of 15:33 on 28 December 2005 (my own) with those that preceded 1 October 2005 - which it looks to me that you have reverted to.
There are three mistakes in these earlier entries that are now repeated. The first is the the ARB is "the statutory regulator". The second is that it "approves" architecture courses. The third is that it "is responsible" for disclipline in the profession.
Taking the first, the Architects Act nowhere places the responsibility of "regulation" on the Board. It makes no mention of the word. True, the Board has adopted it as a casual epithet, but this has been one of the issues of contention that the profession has long held. On the other hand, no-one can argue that it is the "statutory registration body".
Secondly, the board is given no power by the Act to "approve" architecture courses, and neither has the Board ever claimed to my knowledge that it does so. That is left to the Royal Institute of british Architects and the QAA. In contradistinction, the Board, by section 4 of the Act, "prescribes qualifications".
Thirdly, to say that the Board "is responsible" for discipline in the profession is to infer that it has that unique task. It does not. For although under Part III of the Act, it has responsibilities over registered persons who are found guilty either of unacceptable professional conduct or serious professional incompetence, more stringent standards are exacted by the professional bodies including the Royal Institute of British Architects, the Royal Society of Ulster Architects and others. I would suggest that to say that it "has responsibilities for discipline in the profession" better represents the role the Board and carries no inference that this duty is unique.
You can satisfy yourself of these errors by looking at the Architects Act itself ([1]), which of course is objective. There you will find not one mention of the word "regulate" in the manner used, say, by the Secuties and Investments Board, and you will be able to confirm the use of the word "prescribe".
If you are to take an informed interest in this little entry, you may wish to refer, for instance, to the legal analysis that you will find at ([2]).
I hope you will have time to consider these points. I will not argue for a restoration of the information relating to recent events. However, I would invite you to restore the uncontentious entry that I posted on 28 December last year. Better, bearing in mind the prolix entry that the Board itself tried to insert back in December, that you do it I think. So over to you please.

- You've collared the wrong bloke, guv'nor. I just changed the stub template, I haven't made any removals. I think User:Goodison is the guy you want to talk to about that. I noticed you already left a message on his user page - I moved it to the talk page, as that way he'll get a "You have new messages" message alerting him to the fact. --Malthusian (21!) (talk) 10:28, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
Whoops! Thanks for that. Now I've restored the old information which means that I've undone your change to the 'stub template'. But as I don't yet have a clue what a stub template is I'll ask you to do the business please. Salisian 10:01, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
- Well, you didn't change the stub back, you changed it to a different one: {{UK-org-stub}}, which is as good as if not better than the {{architecture-stub}} I used, so I'll leave it alone. I hope Goodison starts to engage you rather than making further 'vandalism' reverts; edit warring and assumptions of bad faith help no-one. --Malthusian (21!) (talk) 10:42, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

hi
im new here
Disputed by whom?
Re Ronald Richter: Yeah, I suppose you're right. Though the original claim is pretty weakly sourced too, and the more I think of it the more I think the milk carton quote should just go. It does't really add any insight into the article and there's no context that might help readers see it as less ridiculous. So the anon has a point, in a way.
But the anon is definitely a problem. If his activity wasn't so bursty, I'd say semi-protection would be good, but it would be better if he would ust register an account and start acting like a real contributor. · rodii · 15:48, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
- Why do you consider it 'weakly sourced'? I was emailed a scan of the relevant pages of the book - unfortunately, it's in Spanish, which I don't know much of, but I'm good enough with European languages to know that it backs up what the article says. Do you think the source is untrustworthy? --Malthusian (talk) 15:55, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
- I don't mean it's unsourced--but it is just one source repeating a kind of throwaway comment. It's hard to tell anything without more context. If it was one of my students using that source, I'd ask them to see if they could dig up more material. But it's interesting that you have a scan rather than just a cite. Any chance you could email me a copy of that scan? · rodii · 16:18, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

RFA Thanks
Thank you! Thank you for your support in my recent RFA. It passed 53/1/2 and I am now an administrator. I appreciate that some of you made exceptions to your usual requirements re length of service and so on because we've interracted positively in the past, or because of my credentials, so I will endeavour to use my new mop cautiously. I'm always open to feedback and gently constructive criticism. If you're not an admin and need some assistance do of course please let me know. Thanks again --kingboyk 00:23, 6 March 2006 (UTC) |

Thanks for your contribution, but we are trying to write an encyclopedia here, so please keep your edits factual and NPOV. Some readers looking for a serious article might not find them amusing. Remember, millions of people read Wikipedia, so we have to take what we do a bit seriously here. If you'd like to experiment with editing, use the Sandbox to get started. I hope you can help us out! --Sam Blanning (formerly Malthusian) (talk) 18:59, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
- While I understand what you meant with this, I must say that I am trying to write an encyclopedia here as well. Having just taken a "Bible as Literature" class last semester, I am fascinated by Jesus as a charecter in a book. Charecters in Fiction was the closest I could come as I did not see a Charecters in Literature category. It wasn't vandalism. -137.229.197.141 19:03, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

Parrot
it is not vandalism. I was asked if it is normal to be excited by such a picture and people need to know it is normal and ok. If you have repressed issues, that is fine, but it is not fair to repress others. that is my opinion. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.255.7.154 (talk • contribs) .
ok, i can see how 'pretty' can be considered an opinion, but someone said that cockatiels and cockatoos are not parrots, that is plain incorrect. They are hookbills, all hookbills are parrots, parrots are a colloquialism not a specific species, but no one has corrected that. Cockatiels and Cockatoos are indeed parrots, please correct this. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.255.7.154 (talk • contribs) .
- I was adding that a parrot was pretty. I was reverted because that was only an opinion. I added the sentence that many people are of the opinion that a parrot is a pretty bird, and it was still reverted, i clearly stated it was an opinion and it was still changed back!!! What is up with that? I did what you guys said to do! I am adding it again unless you can explain to me how a parrot being considered pretty is neither fact nor opinion. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.255.7.154 (talk • contribs) .
-
- i clearly stated it was an opinion and "lurker" still reverted it. Even though it was disclaimed as an opinion. There was another opinion in the article about how "attractive" parrots are. 'attractive' seems to be synonamous with 'pretty' if you ask me. also an opinion yet still part of the article. can you explain to 'lurker' you have discussed this with me and i am abiding by the rule???? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.255.7.154 (talk • contribs) .
Thank You!
Thank you for your thoughtful comments. Much more informative than "lurker's." I noticed that you and some or the articles use british versions of some words like you do in "colour." Wikipedia is not consistent in it's spelling versions as you can see the spelling 'color' used elsewhere. Don't you think it should be consistent? Considering most users of the site are Americans Wikipedia should use the American spellings of these words. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.255.7.154 (talk • contribs) .

I think the gay thing is a hoax - have you actually listened to the broadcast? Arniep 15:37, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
- No, I did a Google search which made me think that it was true, and if it had been the radio programme would have been the source - how I got this impression I don't know because I did it again and couldn't find anything. Too early in the morning, maybe. I made a mistake in adding it. I've asked for a reliable source on Talk:Iain Lee and I'm not holding my breath. I hope that the article stays sprotected. --Sam Blanning (formerly Malthusian) (talk) 15:45, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

The article "christian" vandalised
The article christian is vandalised. Fix please
- Thanks for letting me know; I see you managed to fix it yourself, well done.
- Vandalism happens, sadly. Most of the time it gets reverted very quickly - usually there's little point in asking someone else to fix it, because by the time they read your message and get to the problem someone else will have already seen it. I'm surprised it took as long as 2 hours to fix Christian. I only just saw your message because I was asleep when you sent it :-)

Bob Eponge
Did Spongebob mention Attica? John wesley 13:35, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
- I honestly couldn't say. According to the original reference that was inserted, it appears in an episode where Spongebob fantasises about being framed for a bank robbery. I didn't insert it - at one point I bundled the Al Pacino film and three of its meta-references into one paragraph, which included the Spongebob reference. I chose the references purely for variety rather than relevance or significance. If you believe it's wrong, I won't have any problems with you removing it. --Sam Blanning (formerly Malthusian) (talk) 13:43, 13 March 2006 (UTC)

Would you be interested in becoming an admin? I haven't started digging into your contributions, but you seem to have qualities that I look for when voting support for admins (based on my cursory looks at your edit summary usage and your distribution of wikispace edits). - I'm happy with all those edits. They cover pretty much all the bases of how I contribute, with the exception of original writing of which, admittedly, I do relatively little of (though what I consider a decent amount considering my lack of specialist knowledge). My user page
I wanted to stop by and thank you for the arguments you have made regarding the content of my user page. As I have indicated, I will abide by the community consensus on this issue, as soon as we have some idea as to what that is. I am convinced, as you seem to be, that the current policies do not prohibit the disputed link. Gratefully, Dick Clark 00:04, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks. I hope that, despite my genuine suggestion to MONGO that he propose a policy rather than personally target you, this won't blow up into a wider version of the userbox war that covers the whole page instead of that which is found in little boxes. I found that tedious enough. No, we don't own our user space, but no, editors shouldn't take it upon themselves to remove material from someone else's user space except in extreme circumstances. --Sam Blanning (formerly Malthusian) (talk) 00:14, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

Worse than Gastrich on gays? are you serious??? Why do I keep tripping into these messes? KillerChihuahua?!? 00:16, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
- Gastrich is a time-consuming vandal but a straightforward one. The Iain Lee vandalism on the surface is a dispute over unreferenced material involving editors who are apparently too new to fully understand encyclopaedic standards of verifiability. And as the articles are only borderline notable and consequently have relatively few watchers, that means the vandalism hasn't been cut off as quickly as it might have been. The result is the mess you see at Talk:Iain Lee and elsewhere (like WP:RPP - you might have to check the history as admins routinely delete the influxes of unrelated crap about how homophobes won't allow this and that and no-one likes the edit the other made which was probably reverting vandalism). In short, it's the very opposite of straightforward. I hate making blatant errors, but if it was going to be anywhere it was going to be there. --Sam Blanning (formerly Malthusian) (talk) 00:28, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

Acutally that isn't a repost
I had nothing to do with the article being put there, but you should know, that The article On Stephen Glicker isn't a repost. It's a completely new article on the same topic that apparently the creator did not know of the topic's history. Although the topic is still under discussion in the talk page, there is new and diffrent information in that article. For one thing, steve started and ran a multi-million dollar company called supernova inc for 8 years. Actually I was going to Tell you about that and ask you if based on that info you would concider changing your vote in the discussion. Here's the link to the site of the company he used to run: [4] I think that proves noteabillity (The NDA expired so we're allowed to talk about it now.) So would that info make you concider changing your vote from a delete to an undelete. (If so or if not please explain why). Obviously that article doesn't belong up till the debate is over, but the information is new and creadible and notable--Sgore 20:17, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
An Apology
I'd like to apologize for any bad first impression I may have made on you. As it seems, the debate itself has been lost on my part, and I am okay with that, (Maybe next year he'll be concidered more noteable and whether or not he is, you should check the site out sometime) eigther way I don't want you leave you with a sour opinion about me. I would never want to annoy anyone on here. And I am deeply sorry If I have. I know First impressions are the hardest to forget, but I'm asking you to forget this one. I got a little carried away with the sevierity of my comments. I really do want to be a constructive editor on wikipedia, And my actual edits to actual articles thus far have been. I hope I haven't been of anybother and again ask you to please not hold your first impression of me in that debate against me. I am Sorry.--Sgore 21:00, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
- I have no bad first impression of you, believe me. You shouldn't be afraid to defend your opinions - I tend to do so for a little bit too long as well. You could maybe assume a little more good faith, as people might have been slightly annoyed at being accused of ignoring your arguments, but that's all I can say. --Sam Blanning (formerly Malthusian) ( T | C | A ) 21:10, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

Katelyn Faber
Could you weigh in at the bottom of the Talk Page for Katelyn Faber regarding the inclusion of an image of her? User:Tufflaw, who unsuccessfully tried to have the entire article deleted back in December 2005 insists on censoring/deleting it for extremely specious reasons, and I've been asked to gather a consensus. Please read the bottom two sections of that page. Thanks. Nightscream 19:03, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
- Or not. User:FloNight, who I trust, is also behind removal of the image. Just zis Guy you know? 23:13, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
- I've already commented, but more informally: My basic opinion is that I'm not opposed to unflattering images of celebs, but there is a question of context here which isn't answered by Night's arguments, which basically boil down to "It's just a picture". I think the article is better without it. If there was a better picture, I would support having that at the top as illustration of the person and having the magazine cover to illustrate the scandal (I think that qualifies as fair use). But there isn't, so no. --Sam Blanning (formerly Malthusian) (talk) 23:21, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways, from comparing articles that need work to other articles you've edited, to choosing articles randomly (ensuring that all articles with cleanup tags get a chance to be cleaned up). It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 14:04, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

3rd Best Page in the universe.
Hello,
this is Gothrix, owner of http://www.the3rdbestpageintheuniverse.com/ I've finally noticed some action was taken on the link removal/editing thing. This has been going on for some weeks now.
I mailed you guys, and let you know this, by the only thing I got in return was a poor reply.
Let me insert my mail and response below:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Best_Page_in_the_Universe#Maddox_parodies
In the above mentioned article, there is a list of parodies on the Maddox site. I love his work, and I run http://www.the3rdbestpageintheuniverse.com/ , another parody.
But there's a problem with http://www.thethirdbestpageintheuniverse.com/ (another 3rd Best Page ...) The owner (Rob Hayes) keeps on removing mine and Haddox (and even others) links on Wikipedia. What can we do to stop him? Can he be blocked from editing that page? It's quite anoying and irritation that Rob keeps on removing our links (except the one of Ninjapirate.com) Rob is playing really childish, and I openly mentioned on my webpage that I know he's doing it ... but yet he continues to do so.
Can you help me?
(Sorry if this is the wrong address I've mailed to ... please forward it to the correct inbox.)
Regards, Gothrix
Response:
Dear Gothrix,
Thank you for your mail.
Wikipedia is a "wiki", which means that everyone can edit pages. The content of Wikipedia pages, including external links, is determined entirely by our volunteers rather than any official editorial team. In general, when at all possible, we prefer to include content in the articles themselves rather than linking to external sites. Links are generally reserved for sites that have significant content beyond the scope of an encyclopedia entry, and should be limited to only a few per article. These are usually official or academic sites; other categories such as forums and personal fan sites are discouraged.
Well, so far for that poor response. No actions were taken, and things kept on going its way. So I thought handling things myself and sent a mail to Rob Hayes (the owner of the other Third Best ...)
Mail I've sent:
Look, it's real immature to keep on removing those links. Just quit it, I'll leave yours there, if you leave mine.
Regards -- Gothrix
I haven't got any reply from Rob Hayes this far, and it has been days since I've sent that mail. The only response I've gotten is the removal/editing of the other links.
I don't know what to do. Can't you put the links back on, and block our IP's? Or lock that subject from further editing?
Regards, Gothrix
- Well, no action has been taken yet. I'm planning to take some action that some might consider drastic, which is why I've floated it on the talk page first. As you know, my position is to remove all the Maddox clones, including yours, though Wikipedia:External links does say that 'one major fansite' may be included, so I'm going to look at all the websites later on and see which one qualifies.
- The thing about Wikipedia is that it's a collaborative effort, so contacting Wikipedia's owners is not usually the best way to do things. Problems should be worked out with the people who edit the article on places like Talk:The Best Page in the Universe. You're welcome to join the discussion I've started there. I would recommend creating a username first as it makes it easier to follow discussions, and signing your posts with four tildes (~~~~), which produces your name and date. --Sam Blanning (formerly Malthusian) (talk) 17:18, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

Congratulations! It's my pleasure to let you know that, consensus being reached, you are now an administrator. You should read the relevant policies and other pages linked to from the administrators' reading list before carrying out tasks like deletion, protection, banning users, and editing protected pages such as the Main Page. Most of what you do is easily reversible by other sysops, apart from page history merges and image deletion, so please be especially careful with those. You might find the new administrators' how-to guide helpful. Cheers! -- Cecropia 16:45, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

Copyvio > AfD
Re [6], just to let you know that copyright problems take precedence always over AfD. If it's a copyright problem, the AfD can simply be ended immediately and the relevant speedy or blanking done. Copyright law is more important than internal Wikipedia processes. In this case, I don't think it really is a copyright violation, since it's presenting simple facts and they are not copyrightable in the US. Regards, -Splashtalk 21:13, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

Blocking
Your Blocking of me is uncalled for. When I am unblock I will be sure to take up a complaint against you in order to have your administrative priviledges removed and/or you banned from wikipedia. I have not perpretrated one personal attack nor have I vandalized any page. All I have done is simply edited pages which are associated ewith my own account. So next time But out.
_Sanka123_
Oh and another Thing
Read the rules of semi-protection.... violating the rule aren\\\\\\\'t we Samuel
\\\\\\\"Talk pages and user talk pages are not protected as a rule\\\\\\\" from the semi protection page. _Sanka123_
- Talk pages are regularly protected when the blocked person to whom the talk page refers continues to blank it, against Wikipedia policy. It\\\'s clear that you haven\\\'t been around long enough to figure out how things are done here. Why don\\\'t you learn the ropes here (how to get along with people, what\\\'s considered acceptable behavior and what isn\\\'t) before calling people out on policy? Also, kind of hypocritical to say someone\\\'s violating policy when you\\\'re dishonestly getting around your block, which is also against policy. Hbackman 01:33, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
Page moves
Hi Samuel! Yes, I know about the move function. And I also used it. I didn't copy and pase the text. But with the article Famous People Connected with Prague it somehow didn't work properly. But I still suggest deleting the wrong spelling. --Sebesta 12:39, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
- Misspellings are quite frequently redirected to the right one. Usually the logic is "well if someone made this mistake, someone else might". --Sam Blanning (formerly Malthusian) (talk) 13:18, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
Yes, I agree with you about that. But if it's only capitalization? If I search for "jan frantisek beckovsky" (uncapitalized), I am automatically redirected to the article Jan František Beckovský. That's why I suggested a deletion. --Sebesta 13:22, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
- I think whether a misspelling or miscapitalisation is redirected or not purely depends on whether anyone's made the effort. Certainly I don't see any reason to delete a redirect once it's there. --Sam Blanning (formerly Malthusian) (talk) 13:27, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
Ok. I still do consider this redirect redundant and useless, but it's certainly not a big problem. We can let it be there. --Sebesta 13:31, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
Emanuair
I've extended the block to an indefinite one. Unfortunately, this sort of activity occurs on Wikipedia. --HappyCamper 16:46, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks. I thought that was probably justified, but was going to ask on ANI first. You've saved me the bother. --Sam Blanning (formerly Malthusian) (talk) 16:47, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
-
- Anyway, such activity is what I would qualify as a misuse of the account's editing privileges on Wikipedia. I advocate applying these blocks sorts of blocks very sparingly though. Here is another example from a while back [8] - occasionally after a few days, sockpuppets will appear and re-upload the same image to the same filename. When an acocunt does that, in my book, another indefinite block is in consideration. However, more often than not, another administrator will catch it before you do! Notice in my edit summary I used a more euphemistic term for the image uploaded - that comes in handy when something appears more ambiguous. See you around! --HappyCamper 17:02, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
Pretty Stupid If You Ask Me
Nothing dishonest about it. I am discussing the unfairness of the block. Since your current system disallows an unfairly blocked person from discussing their situation.... pretty stupid if you ask me. _Sanka123_ —This unsigned comment was added by 204.10.79.34 (talk • contribs) 16:52, 26 March 2006. related to these edits, and probably related to (Sanka123) --HappyCamper 17:07, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

other half of this discussion is at User talk:Cfvh
Thanks for the message. I can finish the rest of the article this evening. I have been extremely busy lately and have only had time to pick around every so often. - Would you happen to know of any usable images of some of the interiors of the palace? My guidebook has wonderful pictures, but I don't think using them would qualify as fair use. Charles 22:03, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
- Oh, do be careful! When I was at the palace, every time I even tried to take my camera out of my pocket, I had someone yelling at me. Most of the rooms have someone stationed in them so they can catch people sneaking pictures. It really is a great place though. The floors are all warped and most of the mirrors are cracked... Very atmospheric though. Charles 22:27, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
- I would much rather that you did it, as I haven't transferred pictures before and would probably mess it up. I hope it's not much trouble. But yes, the people stationed within the palace are terribly cranky in general. You also have to shuffle around in huge padded slippers across the floors. Charles 22:38, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

re: DRV for myg0t
Several days ago, you recommended undeleting the article for myg0t. I'm not sure to what extent you based your opinion on the prior AFD discussions. Since your comment, I discovered that the second AFD discussion in question had been vandalized by an anon user between the closure of the discussion and the start of the deletion review. The vandalism obscured several valid comments and made the strict vote-count appear to be a "no consensus" decision. If the prior AFD discussion played any role in your decision, could I ask you to review the unvandalized version of the AFD discussion? Thanks. Rossami (talk) 19:13, 30 March 2006 (UTC)

ISP Block of 166.109.0.198
I recently tried to edit a page from my school library and found that the IP was blocked. Figuring someone had fiddled with some articles earlier, I just moved down to the next computer. Same problem, the computer was blocked and with the same IP.
It appears, Mr. Blanning, that you have blocked every single computer within Lakeland High School from editing articles on Wikipedia. The IP that was blocked:
166.109.0.198
Please reconsider the block. True, high schoolers aren't the most mature people on Earth, but there is quite a large population of students that can't edit articles on Wikipedia as of present. Specifically, these students might have specific expertise based on electives they are taking.
Wikipedia is on the verge of being blocked from the school network entirely because too many users are citing it for school papers and the like, rather than using it for background informational research. Blocking our high school from editing articles will only make this process faster.
- Jason Wright, Lakeland High School (Galapagos29 23:07, 30 March 2006 (UTC))
- I will unblock the IP for now and put a notice on the talk page to the effect that this is a school IP. (ARIN says it's registered to "BOCES Southern Westchester Lower Hudson Regional Information Center", so I didn't immediately clock it as a school IP or I wouldn't have blocked it for a full day in the first place [9].)
- However, it will of course still be subject to temporary blocking if vandalism from this IP continues to be a problem. The blocks should be short though, enough to make the student bored and go away to have lunch or a fag behind the bike shed or whatever.
- (I'm surprised your school is considering blocking all access to Wikipedia to keep students from citing it. I would have thought giving them bad grades and a 'See me' would be better, but maybe teachers aren't allowed to give bad grades anymore for PC reasons.) --Sam Blanning (formerly Malthusian) (talk) 23:16, 30 March 2006 (UTC)

That doesn't mean we can't mention criticism, but it does mean that we can only mention criticism that comes from a reputable source. E.g. if The Times or someone similarly significant wrote an article criticising Lee and questioning his sexuality, we could write "The Times has questioned Lee's sexuality and criticised his perceived anti-Anglicism" and cite the article in question. I don't think that's likely to happen :-) --Sam Blanning (formerly Malthusian) (talk) 18:46, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
