[edit] Blocked, June 6 06

I have blocked you from editing for 24 hours for your continued removal of maintenance tags on James Purdey and Sons. You are welcome to return at the end of that period, but if you continue to remove tags you will be blocked again, perhaps indefinitely. The choice is yours. Moriori 09:27, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] James Purdey and Sons

Generally speaking, everything on Wikipedia should have a citation. There are some people who believe that every fact not cited to a reliable source should be deleted as a matter of policy, but there aren't very many of them. The current operating policy is that any fact that an editor feels is unlikely to be true or could easily be verified will get tagged with {{tl:citationneeded}}, alerting more knowledgeable editors that it is in need of a fact check or could be relatively easily verified. Thank you for finding a citation for the royal warrant. Something that could be added which would add greatly to the article are some examples of royalty that owned Purdey firearms and possibly what kind. It could also use a quick spell check, looks good though. Thanks for the contribution. One more thing, we're all trying to help out here, so try to remain calm. It is often hard to tell the tone that someone is trying to take online, so things often escalate when that isn't needed. Please try to remain civil, even if others aren't. If you get into a situation where an edit war is beginning, please ask for assistance from a third party. Often times an experienced neutral editor is all you need. Typing {{helpme}} on this page will page someone to come assist you. 71.37.17.195 19:53, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
