Samuel Storey

Samuel Storey (13 January 1840–18 January 1925) was a British Conservative Party politician.

Storey was born in Whitburn, County Durham, the son of Robert Storey. From 1876-78 he was Mayor of Sunderland and again in 1880 before being elected as the town's MP in 1881. He held the post until 1895 and also held it briefly from Jan-Dec, 1910. In between tenures, he had been Chairman of Durham County Council from 1894-97 and 1898-1905.

His namesake grandson was Samuel Storey, Baron Buckton.
