[edit] Values
Like the Yeshiva University High School for Boys, YUHSG has as its educational mission to teach and perpetuate the Modern Orthdox Jewish philosophy of Torah Umadda. Its goal is to prepare its students for adulthood both as knowledgeable and committed Jews and as broadly educated, intellectually curious, and caring members of the general society.
[edit] Classes
YUHSG offers a comprehensive program in college preparatory and Judaic subjects to all students. Advanced Placement offerings include English literature, English language, Jewish history, American history, government, calculus, chemistry, biology, and psychology. Electives include advanced art, advanced Spanish and French, business, computer applications or programming, creative writing, earth science, ethics, introduction to management, Jewish life cycles, law, physics, physiology, pre-calculus, and speech.
Seniors can take select courses at the Beren campus of Yeshiva University's Stern College for Women.
[edit] Student activities
Extracurricular activities include music, drama, art, sign language, Model United Nations and Congress, and various chesed (loving-kindness or community service) opportunities.
