Samuel Chamberlin
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Samuel Chamberlin was an American who wrote the autobiographical My Confession: Recollection of a Rogue, which recounted, among other events, his time with John Joel Glanton, scalphunter for hire in the mid 1800s.
While certainly colorful, Chamberlin's account has been called into question as exaggerated or perhaps invented. Others have conducted research and concluded much of Chamberlin's account is true. [1]
Cormac McCarthy relied heavily on My Confession for his acclaimed novel Blood Meridian.
