Samuel Azu Crabbe was the Chief Justice of Ghana between 1973 and 1977. He was the fifth person to hold this position since Ghana became an independent nation.[1] He was appointed Chief Justice after the military coup of January 13, 1972 established the National Redemption Council (NRC). He was however removed four years later by the same NRC under pressure from the Ghana Bar Association.[2]

He completed his secondary education at Accra Academy in Accra in 1939.[3]
