Sampeyre is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 70 km southwest of Turin and about 35 km northwest of Cuneo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,129 and an area of 98.6 km2.[1]
The municipality of Sampeyre contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Becetto, Calchesio, Colle di Sampeyre, Dragoniere, Gilba, Rore, Rouera, Sant'Anna, Villar, and Villaretto.
Sampeyre borders the following municipalities: Brossasco, Casteldelfino, Elva, Frassino (CN), Macra, Oncino, Paesana, San Damiano Macra, Sanfront, and Stroppo.
