Sammy D. Knight, Jr. (born September 10, 1975 in Fontana, CA) is an American Football strong safety who currently is a free agent of the NFL after being released by the Kansas City Chiefs on March 21, 2007.[1]

Knight was a pro bowler in 2001 with the New Orleans Saints. In the NFL Combine Sammy Knight ran a 4.79 40 yard dash.

He graduated from Rubidoux High School in Riverside, CA.

His brother, Ryan Knight, was a USA Today All-USA first team running back at Rubidoux high school and also played for the USC Trojans.
