Sammy J. Davis, Jr. (born April 8, 1980 in LaGrange, Georgia) is an American Football cornerback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He went to Texas A&M University. He was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the 1st round (30th overall) in the 2003 NFL Draft. He played for the Chargers for three years. He was traded by the Chargers to the 49ers for Rashaun Woods. He recorded three interceptions in 44 games during his stint with the Chargers. He was cut on February 26, 2007 for undisclosed reasons. On March 13, 2007, the Bucs signed Davis.
