Hanson ("Sammy") Carter (March 15, 1878, in Yorkshire, England - June 8, 1948 in Sydney, New South Wales) was a cricketer who played for Australia and New South Wales.
He was a wicket-keeper and achieved statistics of 44 catches and 21 stumpings off 28 matches between 1907 and 1921.
In 1932 at the age of 54, he toured the USA and Canada with an official side captained by Vic Richardson.
