SambaLá Samba School

SambaLá Samba School is a non-profit Brazilian group founded in 1994 in Long Beach California and is patterned after the traditional samba schools of Rio de Janeiro. The group is active all year round with students and the public studying Brazilian dance, drumming, and costume making. Their work is exhibited once a year in the annual Brazilian Street Carnaval of Long Beach held the 3rd Sunday of September. SambaLá also does professional shows and sells costumes round the world.
