Sam West

Samuel Filmore (Sam) West (b. October 5, 1904 in Longview, Texas - d. November 23, 1985 in Lubbock, Texas) was a center fielder in Major League Baseball. From 1927 through 1942, West played for the Washington Senators (1927-1932, 1938[end]-1941), St. Louis Browns (1933-1938[start]) and Chicago White Sox. He batted and threw left handed.
