Sam Talbot (born December 27, 1977) is a Sicilian-American chef from Charlotte, NC, best known as a semi-finalist on Season 2 of Bravo's Top Chef, eventually placing third. Sam received his education from Johnson & Wales University (the same college Emril Lagasse went to) in Charlotte, and eventually moved on to New York City, where he has held the position of executive chef at several prestigious restaurants.
Sam was among the many on Top Chef to clash with eventual second place holder Marcel Vigneron. This tension escalated into a blow-up by both parties in Charlie's Fixtures in one of the later episodes.
Sam is a diabetic and wears an insulin pump attached to his leg. He loves both mayonnaise and ranch dressing.
