Sam Steiger

Sam Steiger (born March 10, 1929) is a U.S. Republican politician.

He was born in New York City. He served in the Korean War, where he earned the Silver Star and the Purple Heart. He was elected as a Republican to the United States House of Representatives from Arizona and served from January 3, 1967 to January 3, 1977. He did not seek re-election to the House in 1976, instead running for the United States Senate, and was defeated by Dennis DeConcini. He currently resides in Prescott, Arizona.
