Sam Spurway

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sam Spurway (born March 13, 1987, Taunton, Somerset) is an English cricketer who plays for Somerset. He is a left-handed batsman and wicket-keeper.

Playing regularly in the Somerset 2nd XI since 2003 Spurway made his first team debut in late 2005 in a Twenty20 match following an injury to Carl Gazzard. Gazzard's poor batting performances lead to Spurway being chosen as first team wicket-keeper for the latter part of the 2006 season. He had his highest first-class score of 83 against Northamptonshire in the last match of 2006.
