Sam Jones (Confederate Army officer)

Samuel Jones (December 17, 1819 – July 31, 1887) was the Confederate commander of the Department of Florida and South Georgia.
Jones was born in Woodfield, Virginia. He graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1841. He died in Bedford Springs, Virginia, and is buried in Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond, Virginia.
