[edit] Article Deletion
I deleted the article under CSD A7 as I believed it was not a very notable family. I still do think the family itself is not notable in a more general respect, but if you disagree, I would appreciate if you could provide me with some references as to why the family is notable. Thanks. Nishkid64 17:16, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
- The article on the family did have references but I don't see how they are notable outside of Cheshire. I mean...if you just google "France-Hayhurst" you only get 350 hits, which doesn't really seem to justify the family's notability. Nishkid64 23:40, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] A barnstar for you
The Epic Barnstar | ||
I just noticed your excellent contributions in History of Middlewich, History of salt in Middlewich and various other Middlewich related articles and I must say I am impressed with your professional contributions. I found both to be fascinating reads. There's not many towns with this depth of coverage. You and your work are a credit to wikipedia, keep it up. YDAM TALK 12:12, 10 December 2006 (UTC) |
[edit] Possible project or sub-project dealing with Cheshire
Hello, I've noticed that you've been making some really good entries about a number of towns and sites in Cheshire, and so I thought I'd tell you about this, since I think you would make a useful contributor to any project or sub-project that was set up: I've listed a proposed project concerning Cheshire on Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals. I think it can easily co-exist with Wikipedia:WikiProject UK geography. If you are interested in contributing to this proposed project, please add your name to list at the appropriate place. You can have a broader discussion about it here. Many thanks. DDS talk 23:03, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] New project concerned with Cheshire
Thanks for showing an interest in a new project about all things concerning Cheshire. I've set up a project page, and its associated talk now, which you can see here. It would be really good if you were able to join the project by adding your name to the page, and adding it to your watchlist. Please feel free to contribute to setting up the project page for example, by joining in or creating discussions you can find on the talk page. Looking forward to seeing you there. [edit] Categories of Cheshire (on the project talk page)
Hi! I see we were editing at the same time. I have just added a section specifically about categoeries. Would it be an idea to move your comment within that section? I think your suggestion is a good one, by the way. DDStretch (talk) 23:59, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Middlewich GA
I just had a quick look at this and there is something very wrong with the wikification after your quote from Boswell. Good luck with the GA. Ben MacDui (Talk) 20:33, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Re: GA review of Middlewich
You might also want to cross-reference Wikipedia:WikiProject UK geography/How to write about settlements with information at WP:CITIES. While Middlewich is clearly not a major city, some of the subtopics and categories listed in the city wikiproject probably apply nonetheless. Dr. Cash 00:48, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
