[edit] VFD results
This article has survived a VFD nomination with the result of Keep. --Allen3 talk 16:20, July 30, 2005 (UTC)
Under alumni, I removed Mr. Tocci because the entry stated that he scored 31 touchdowns in one season. My reasons are twofold. 1. For what team, when??? Was it while he was at SCHS or in college? 2. Why mention him and not any other Salpointe athletes? If it is noteworthy it should be added to a SCHS Athletics page. malatesta 07:48, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Objectivity?
This page seems to manage to skirt by with little to no sources. While it isn't by any means over glorifying, it certainly seems to do a lot of pandering for something that should be strictly factual.
It could also use an entire section for discussing the controversial manditory drug testing changes, complete with links to relevant information. Ironically one of the "selling points" of the school is missing. --69.39.23.189 06:58, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
I would tend to agree - the article needs to cite its sources and be much more objective. I feel Salpointe is a good school (I am an alumnus) but this article needs to be to the point and contain more history and fewer statements like "While the school remains open to those who would not describe their religious beliefs as "Roman Catholic," the Salpointe mission and academic environment place gospel values at the forefront of Salpointe's pedagogical endeavors." --Danesparza 16:20, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
The athletics section needs to be more objective, and cite sources. The statement "Salpointe's golf, soccer, football, basketball, tennis, and swimming teams are perennially strong in their region. And indeed, it is normal in a given year for nearly all of the Salpointe teams to perform at the top of their region." should be re-written or removed. --Danesparza 16:24, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
