Detective Inspector Sally Johnson was a police officer in the long running ITV drama The Bill. She arrived at Sun Hill in January 1994 and left a year later in January 1995. After being pushed out of Sun Hill to take a desk job monitoring overtime in the force she finally resigned from her position as a police officer. She became a private investigator and returned to The Bill in 2003 to investigate whether Jeff Simpson had be set up for the murders in the Sun Hill Fire.
