Salisbury Mills-Cornwall (Metro-North station)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Salisbury Mills-Cornwall station, on the Metro-North Railroad Port Jervis Line, is in the Town of Cornwall in Orange County. Travel time from there to Hoboken Terminal, 55.4 miles (89 km) away, is about one hour and 20 minutes.
It is located immediately north of the Moodna Viaduct, with direct access from NY 94. A recent renovation has expanded the station's parking lot, lengthened the platform canopy, added new lighting, and added a mini high-level platform for wheelchair access to trains. This station acts a station not only for Salisbury Mills and Cornwall, but also draws quite a few passengers from Newburgh and other surrounding communities. For these passengers, the Port Jervis Line is much more convenient trip to lower Manhattan destinations than the using the Metro-North Hudson Line at Beacon.
Trains come in on a single track.
Parking fees are charged on weekdays, with both permit and metered spaces available.
