Salisbury Composite High School, often referred to as Sal or Sal Comp, is a high school located in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada.
[edit] History
Salisbury Composite High School has a proud tradition of excellence which began in 1953. In June of 1954, ten teachers organized the first Grad for 27 students. In the Fall of 1969, "Salisbury" became Salisbury Composite High School with a move to the present location in Sherwood Park and the opening of our vocational department. In June 1982, Grad was organized for 490 students, our largest graduating class thus far. Grad now averages about 350 students.
Salisbury's motto is "Sic Sursum" which means "sail on". Our school logo consists of a sailing ship with Salisbury's motto. Salisbury's colours are red, black and white, and our teams are the Sabres.
Salisbury's crest consists of a large "S" in front of crossed sabres. The sabres point skywards in a salute to victory.
[edit] Athletics
Salsibury is home to many athletic teams, from volleyball to badminton. Recently the Senior Football Team finished an undefeated season to win the Tier I Provincial Championship.
