Salih Mirzabeyoglu

Salih Mirzabeyoglu (b. 1950, in Eskişehir) is a fundamentalist idealogue and alleged lead of the Great Eastern Islamic Raiders' Front, an armed Islamist militant group present in Turkey. In 1975, he and his friends published a political magazine Gölge (Shadow). Towards the end of the decade, he has met Necip Fazıl and started to establish IBDA ideology as a philosophical-political system. Till now, he has written 50 books. He was arrested in 29 December, 1998 under the claim of that he is the leader of Great Eastern Islamic Raiders' Front. He was sentenced to death penalty.
