From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Salhad is one of the 57 Union Councils that make up the Abbottabad District of the North-West Frontier Province of Pakistan . The Union Council of Salhad is named after what was the main village in the area and is an administrative sub-division of the district. It is situated around two kilometers South from the current city limits of Abbottabad. The population of the village is now around 30,000 people (effectively now a town). Due to a recent increase in growth in the past few years, the village is soon to become a part of the Abbottabad city, i.e. its southern most suburb.
