Salford Crescent is one of two railway stations serving the city of Salford, in the county of Greater Manchester, England. The other station is Salford Central. The station is also signposted as "For the University of Salford", as the station is located within the middle of the Peel Park Campus.
It is located on two lines in the Manchester area. First, it forms the point of a split in the Manchester-Preston Line, with local services running on to Manchester Victoria and long-distance services going to Manchester Piccadilly. Secondly, it is part of the line between Manchester and Wigan Wallgate. On weekdays 4 trains an hour go to Manchester Picadilly while 5 trains an hour go to Manchester Victoria.
