Salaheddine Bahaaeddin

Salaheddine Muhammad Bahaaeddin was a member of the Interim Iraq Governing Council created following the United States's 2003 invasion of Iraq.

A native of the Kurdish town of Halabja, Bahaaeddin has written several books in Kurdish and Arabic. He also helped found the Kurdistan Islamic Union in 1991, and became its first elected secretary-general in 1994.
