Sal Butera

Salvatore Philip Butera (born September 25, 1952, in Richmond Hill, New York) was a Major League Baseball catcher.

Signed by the Minnesota Twins as an amateur free agent in 1972, Butera would make his Major League Baseball debut with the Minnesota Twins on April 10, 1980, and appear in his final game on September 26, 1988.

Butera was a member of the Minnesota Twins team that defeated the St. Louis Cardinals in the 1987 World Series.
