[edit] SAK Comedy Lab

I've sent it for deletion discussion because I don't believe that it passes the notability guideline > Wikipedia:Notability. I hope this clarifies. Cornell Rockey 14:44, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ywam orlando

A tag has been placed on Ywam orlando, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Tikiwont 14:02, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

Sorry if you have the impression that someone is following you. Your artcicle simply caught my attention and I nominated it becsue it was about a local church (base) that by itslef is non notable enough. For more info check WP:CHURCH which - why not yet an official guideline - lies out the general rational to adress churches. With respect to YWAM, it is notable, there is an article as well as a List of YWAM bases which links to the local web site. Tikiwont 09:14, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your Face

Um...

I noticed that the article, Your Face, had been created and deleted. You didn't happen to click on the red text in your user page, did you?

Maybe that was someone else...

P.S. Good work on the SAK page so far.

What was this page anyways? Saksjn 13:23, 1 February 2007 (UTC)saksjnSaksjn 13:23, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] UMM

Not a clue waht this your face thing is about but okay. I'm pretty ticked off that this guy keeps following me and tagging my stuff. Auggghhhh, I spent most of BST today on that article, and I was just starting, can he GET OFF MY CASE!!!!!!!!!

[edit] Sorry

Sorry Tikiwont I overreacted, I'll read that guideline, do realize thought that YWAM is broken down in to bases around the world, and although I don't beleive that every base should recieve an article, the most influencial ones (Hawaii, Orlando, Australia, New York, and perhaps an Article about the Elm Springs base, which was the largests in YWAM history , but then was kicked out after some guidlines that went against YWAM principles, then the base lost all it's people) should possibly have an article talking about what they do mainly in their ministries that make them more notable. Maybey I should just add a section to the YWAM page on these five bases. Just wondering what you think. Once again I'm sorry I overeacted, thanks. [edit] SAK Comedy Lab

Despite the lack of deletion tags at the top (I'm not sure who removed them), it was still under deletion discussion > Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/SAK Comedy Lab and the result was delete.

[edit] Notability?

Please review this > Wikipedia:Notability. Your sources are not proving that it is notable. Cornell Rockey 14:07, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

  • Being listed on another wikipedia artictle doesn't make something notable. Cornell Rockey 14:31, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Resurrection de la SAK Comedy Lab

I assume you left the message for help.

You may wish to recreate the SAK page, but first you must prove that it is notable. Under Wikipedia's guidelines, the institution in question (here, SAK) must have been the subject of multiple published sources unrelated to the institution itself. I suggest that, before you do anything else, you research SAK on the web to see what web magazines have said about it. Any opinion by another source would be worthy of mention in the SAK article.

Note: don't make the opinion the fact itself. Make that someone said the opinion the fact.

Another alternative is to research other comedy clubs in Orlando and create an article on all of them. Each club would be featured in a stub-like section that gives a brief overview. To see an example of this, check out my Federalism in the United States article.

If you do choose to create Comedy Clubs in Orlando, FL, you may afterward create a main article for each one, with links in the overview page.

[edit] How to Chat

saksjn,

I noticed that your discussion page contains your own responses to the administrators.

They never get those messages; you must respond on the page of the user to whom you are replying.

And remember to sign your name.

[edit] SAK Comedy Lab

I am concerned that it just isn't notable enough to be on wikipedia. Can you prove that it passes WP:ORG ? Cornell Rockey 16:01, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Feb 7, 2007

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Some of your recent edits, such as those you made to Pine Castle Christian Academy, have been considered unhelpful or unconstructive and have been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Your change was understandable if you are learning, however, remember that the Wikipedia is a public resource, many thousands of other people can or could see the changes you make. Thanks. [edit] SAK Comedy Lab

Write it as part of your user page, then move it to an article when it is ready for public viewing in a month. I don't think you are understanding my complaint about the article, however. I don't have a problem with its length or gramatical errors, or formatting, I have a problem with the fact thats its a local comedy club that doesn't belong on an encyclopedia. Cornell Rockey 17:55, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Tips for SAK Comedy Lab

The SAK page is going well, saksjn, but here a few observations:

  • use one = sign to make the SAK Comedy Lab title the correct size.
  • The traffic problems do not belong in the article; they are irrelevant and smell of original research.
  • When refering to SAK with a pronoun, use "it" not "they."
  • You have told me that you found reviews for SAK; mention them directly in the article. This will prove its notability. (Note: when you give the review name, make it an external link to the review itself.)

One last thing: I would like permission to edit SAK Comedy Lab, while it is on your user page, OK?

--Autumn Forrester 16:04, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Edit SAK!!!

Saksjn!

You haven't edited this page at all for two days now—and your last edits were minor. SAK Comedy Lab needs more content, particularly in the way of external reviews. It's almost finished, but I need your help, especially if you consider this your main project. Remeber that we are working against Cornell Rockey's deadline. SAK is notable enough to meet Wikipedia's standards, it's just a matter of proving that. Also, remember that this is a local interest article and, therefore, is required to demonstrate the uniqueness of the institution.

It looks great! Good luck with future wikipedia-ing. Cornell Rockey 13:46, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Signing your posts

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button Image:Wikisigbutton.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --Davidkazuhiro 09:11, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unnecessary edits

Saksjn,

Some comments on your most recent edits to Pine Castle Christian Academy:

  • Please don't change the link from "Imporivsation" to "Improvisational Comedy." The former article exists; the latter doesn't.
  • "Notable atheletic alumni" refers to students who were notable to the school, but not to Wikipedia. It is unnecessary to mention them, much less to give them their own heading.
  • You added the category "religious affiliation" to the wikitemplate. Don't bother; changes to templates do not appear in the article.

All above edits have been reverted.

[edit] KKI

Saksjn,

Good news; this is positive.

King's Kids International is actually a good stub. Sucrine's edits look pretty basic; most of the article is your own work, and it reads well.

I cleaned the article for you, added internal links and created some redirects.

Thank you for the good stub.

[edit] SAK Comedy Lab

The "Notable Alumni" section (which I changed to "Further Careers of SAK Performers") has been tagged as unreferenced. I think I saw you looking at the notable performers' names on the SAK website. It would be great if you could add the page as a reference and remove that nasty tag. Also, see my comment on the SAK discussion page about adding what each actor did afterward to the list.
