I don't think this should belong as it's written not NPOV:

"Sakuno is a quite controversial character in the fandom. Some rabid yaoi fans don't like her since she supposedly poses a "threat" to any possible male/male pairings involving Ryoma, reaching the exteme of character bashing (by protraying her in fanworks as either an homophobic, evil bitch or a Ryoma-obsessed bimbo without any life outside of him). Some rabid het fans, obsessed with proving Ryoma's heterosexuality, twist Sakuno's personality to the extreme to make sure he falls for her and end up making her a complete Mary Sue, so altered she is. Finally, other fans tend to immediately deem her as "weak" or "without any personality" since she's sweet and quiet, sometimes to make "stronger females" like Ann Tachibana look better than they really are.

Many fans feel that Sakuno is often portrayed wrong, either in canon or in fanon."
