[edit] NoInfo?

This article has character profiles, but no information on the movie in itself. --Alexie 22:32, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Rename

This article name is long beyond the point of usefulness. The common names guideline says to "use the most common name of a person or thing that does not conflict with the names of other people or things." Along with that, staying simple will make organization easier when we get Sailor Moon R movie and Sailor Moon S movie up and running. For all these reasons, I propose that we move this article to Sailor Moon SuperS movie.

If no one objects, I'd like to make this change in two days, on the 31st. --Masamage 00:41, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

Okay then, I'm gonna go ahead! --Masamage 16:27, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Name consistency

We need to pick one of these name styles and stick with it:

Japanese: Badiyanu, Peruru, Pupuran, Oranja, Bananu.
French: Badian, Perle, Poupelin, Orangeat, Banane.

I'm personally (on gut-instict) in favor of the former. 'Marzipan Castle' is a separate issue, but also needs to be decided on--Marzipan, Marzipane, or Marujipannu. I vote Marzipan. --Masamage 00:41, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

No votes on this? --Masamage 18:19, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
Japanese version, because the English dub also uses those names. Danny Lilithborne 05:40, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
Do you think maybe a compromise would work? I was thinking something like, "Poupelin (pronounced Pupuran)..." --Masamage 08:59, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
You're in favor of the Japanese one, right? No compromise necessary. Danny Lilithborne 10:31, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
There is no "Japanese version" ... I think Naoko Takeuchi was abundantly clear what names she meant in the Materials Collection -- they're mostly French cooking/food terms and to dis-acknowledge that would be preposterous. So, in keeping with the "Tessagia/Tetsuaiga" precedent the MOS-JA, we really should give weight to the author's intentions over a mistranslation and integrate the two romanizations with MOS-JA style.
i.e. {{nihongo|Perle|ペルル|Peruru}} = Perle (ペルル Peruru?)
(I also corrected the spelling of Badian) --Kunzite 12:40, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
That's sorta what my guilty conscience was thinking. Sounds okay to me; I'll make it happen.
PS. Done. I used the spelling 'Badiane' because that's what I found in French dictionaries. --Masamage 17:32, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
French Cooking terms? These should be cited directly from Wikipedia itself, or from a french cooking site (cut out the middle man). Though what Takeuchi "meant" to use French cooking terms should be noted as speculation since it's not directly stated. --Hitsuji Kinno 15:43, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image

I was bold and swapped out the image for a nicer looking, yet similar one (It has most of the same art just moved around with out that ugly bottom) Lego3400: The Sage of Time 23:47, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

Also if we can't find a way to work the old one into the article, Could someone flag it for deletion. Lego3400: The Sage of Time 03:25, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Automated Peer Review

The following suggestions were generated by a semi-automatic javascript program, and might not be applicable for the article in question.

  • Consider adding more links to the article; per WP:MOS-L and WP:BTW, create links to relevant articles.
  • Per WP:CONTEXT and WP:BTW, years with full dates should be linked; for example, link January 15, 2006, but do not link January 2006.
  • Watch for redundancies that make the article too wordy instead of being crisp and concise. (You may wish to try Tony1's redundancy exercises.)
    • Vague terms of size often are unnecessary and redundant - “some”, “a variety/number/majority of”, “several”, “a few”, “many”, “any”, and “all”. For example, “All pigs are pink, so we thought of a number of ways to turn them green.”
  • Please ensure that the article has gone through a thorough copyediting so that it exemplifies some of Wikipedia's best work. See also User:Tony1/How to satisfy Criterion 1a.
