Saito engines

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Saito Engines are a brand of 4-stroke engines for radio controlled model aircraft manufactured in Japan. The name is taken from the owner of the Saito company recognized as a high quality model airplane engine maker.

They offer outstanding power-to-weight/performance. The engineering design is exemplified by the AAC (Aluminum Sleeve, Aluminum piston, chrome plated) technology incorporated into most of the engines. A Saito engine is easily recognized by the splayed valve covers which are a result of the hemispherical combustion chamber design.

There are a large number of different engines under the Saito name and includes single cylinder, multi cylinder radial, multi cylinder inline and multi cylinder opposed configurations.
