Saint Mark Parish, Grenada
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Saint Mark is the smallest parish in both area and populace (4,000) in Grenada. The main town is the fishing port of Victoria. Saint Mark also contains the highest point on the island, Mount Saint Catherine (840 m).
The people of St. Mark are warm, kind and very friendly. Together with Mount Saint Catherine, there is also a very beautiful and secluded waterfall known as the Tufton Hall Waterfall.
They have many night clubs and every year host a festival which is called the ST. MARK'S DAY FIESTA show casing different produce and cultures of the Villages of St. Mark.
Tufton Hall is one of the estates which exist within St Mark Parish, and is slated to become a cultural and geographic showplace spa by late 2008. The estate was purchased as part of the Port Louis complex by the Peter de Savary Group in early 2007 and work has already started in order to get the estate ready for the coming tourist boom in Grenada.
