Saint Kentigern College is an independent Presbyterian secondary school in Pakuranga suburb of Manukau City in the Auckland Region of New Zealand, standing on the estuary of the Tamaki River. It is the partner of Saint Kentigern School in Remuera. Established in 1953, the college was a single-sex school catering only to boys until 2003, when female students were first accepted. The college is now divided into a separate single-sex middle school for years 7 and 8, with years 9 and 10 single sex in core subjects and a co-educational senior school for years 11-13.
Kentigern is the patron Saint of Glasgow. 2003, saw the first intake of female students of which there were 140. There are now more than 500 female students attending, with numbers increasing every year. Saint Kentigern has a reputation for educational excellence and sporting prowess, and is consistently ranked amongst the top schools in New Zealand (Metro Magazine).
Saint Kentigern has opened one of the first golfing academies in New Zealand as a part of its overall school curriculum. Saint Kentigern College's information technology programme is considered to be one of New Zealand's top 100 IT environments (MIS Magazine).
Saint Kentigern College plans to introduce International Baccalaureate in 2009.
