Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil is a commune from the departement called Indre-et-Loire in the Région Centre. This little village is on the road of the Loire Valley, in the center of many famous casltes as (Chenonceaux, Villandry...).. Le vignoble de Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil est réputé.
Its inhabitants are called the Saint-nicolaisiens, Saint-nicolaisiennes.

St Nicolas de Bourgueil is situated between Angers, Tours and Chinon

The old ecclesia Sancti Nicolai, mentionned in 1208,was situated in the North-east of the present cemetery of Bourgueil.
In 1790-1794, Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil annexed the canton of la Taille. The current bourg was built during the Moarchy of July
