Sahotas is a U.K. based Bhangra/Rock/World music band. The band, started in Wolverhampton in the mid-1980s, is comprised of five brothers with additional talent assisting in projects/albums. The band maintains a distinct style of musical arrangement and performance. It has released both in English and Punjabi.
The band went their seperate ways in 2001 after releasing their 7th Bhangra (Punjabi language) album called Revolution.

Recently, the band's composer/keyboardist Mukhtar Sahota has released several successfull solo albums where he is credited with music composition and performance. These include 4the muzik and the most recent one 21st century jugni. He is also known to be very critical of DJs/remixers who are unable to perform live music.
