Sageika

Sageika, rarely Sagaiika (Greek: Σαγέικα, formerly: Σάγαιικα) is a village in western Achaea in the northcentral part of the municipality of Movri. its population is about 200. The nearby communities and villages are Bonteika to the west, Rachi and Apostoli to the east, and Krinos to the south. It lies presently partially north of the main highway, used to run through until the 1980s. Distance is 31 km SW of Patras and 65 km (old distance: 69 km) N of Pyrgos. Its postal code is 250 05 and the dialing code is 26930.

The village has a church, a school. It is situated in a middle of a plain. The western part of the commune which includes Fragka is mainly poor. 1 km west of Sageika is a fruit and agrigultural plant which has existed for about 25 to 30 years.

Sageika is also the seat of the municipality of Movri, named for is mountain range south of the village. The municipal population is 5,140, the area is 86.48 km² and the density is 59.4/km². The communities and hamlets include:
