Sagarika Ghose

Sagarika Ghose is an Indian journalist, author and Television personality. She is the daughter of Bhaskar Ghose, erstwhile director of Doordarshan, India's Government TV Channel.
She was awarded a Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford University where she gained a BA and M.Phil in Modern History from Magdalen College, Oxford and St Antony's College. She has been a journalist in India since 1991 and worked in The Times Of India, Outlook magazine and The Indian Express. She is currently (2006) senior editor and prime time anchor on the news network CNN-IBN.
In 2004 became the first woman to anchor the popular BBC programme 'Question Time India'. She is also the author of the novel `The Gin Drinkers', published in 1998. Her second novel 'Blind Faith' has been published this year by HarperCollins Publishers.
She is married to well-known television personality Rajdeep Sardesai son of cricketer Dileep Sardesai and has two children Ishan (11) and Tarini (9).
