Safety school

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A safety school is a training facility where safe operation is taught. It is used in industry (occupational health and safety) and in government (operational safety), but the more common usages are related to transportation (driving, boat and personal watercraft etc.) and military operations. See [1], [2], [3], [4] and [5].

In the United States, "safety school" can also be used in the college application process to refer to a lesser-desired college or university for a particular applying student which the student nonetheless believes is very likely to accept his/her application, and can thus be used as a contingency outcome in the event that all his other applications are rejected.
